My name is Dmitri Popov, and this is my place on the web. I’m a tech writer and an amateur photographer.
Writing
I write about Linux and open source software for a living. Currently, I contribute to Linux Magazine. My articles have appeared in Danish, British, US, German, Spanish, and Russian magazines and websites.
I write about open source photography tools on my Scribbles and Snaps blog, and I’ve published the digiKam Recipes, Linux Photography, and Tōkyō Taxi Lights ebooks.
Photography
A hand-picked selection of my photos is available on my EyeEm. I also maintain the Tōkyō Made microsite.
Coding
I’m not much of a coder, but I’ve cobbled together a handful of tools and scripts for my personal use. The fruits of my coding endeavors are available on GitHub and GitLab.
